Ro*tel Newbie
I got to admit I had never tried Ro*tel till this past week. I made the "Ro*tel famous queso" for the Dolphins / Panthers game. I could not believe how easy it was to make. The dip was FANTASTIC. My friend were amazed at how easy and delicious is was. Ro*tel has made a new customer. Thanks

Rotel burritos
First time I used Ro Tel was when I was making burritos and realized I didn't have any salsa. I made a few other subsitions and came up with a burrito that friends ask me to make at every get together.

My First Chili
Hi, I come from a very competitive family that knows how to cook..all except for me. I have 5 other sisters that all know how to cook everything. I am 33 years old and attempted to make my first pot of chili from scratch. Using Rotel's can of Diced Tomatoes with Habanero's which are hot, put the exact amount of heat in that chili to turn it into a proud dish for me. My sisters raved about it and even asked for my recipe. Being new to cooking, I think this Rotel can was my secret ingredient to success. I have more confidence now to try something else!

RO*TEL brings together Chris Sligh and His Fans for the First Time
Chris Sligh, American Idol top ten finalist from season 6, is a contemporary Christian singer/songwriter who also writes for others (such as the #1 hit for Rascal Flatts, "Here Comes Goodbye.") Chris has a blog and he has regular posters who have gotten to know each other over the past 2 1/2 years. One day, we got to discussing how much fun it would be to meet together, and bring dishes from our different regions of the country. Ro*Tel came up in the conversation, and to our surprise, some of our northern friends had never tried it. The southerners were appalled. Long story short, our fan picnic came to fruition in Nashville in July 2008 with Chris in attendance along with fans from 10 states. We served cheese dip, made of course with Ro*Tel along with our BBQ catered lunch, and gave out cans of Ro*Tel, with Chris Sligh picnic labels as party favors. It was a great first Ro*Tel experience for some of our attendees. It was also a fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, in memory of one of Chris's fans, Amanda Rhea Jones, who passed away the month prior from leukemia. We did the same thing again this past July, once again raising money for St. Jude. This time we served Spicy Corn Dip, made with Ro*Tel.

No-Tell Ro-Tel
It was five years ago at a SuperBowl party, when my husband and I encountered the best queso dip ever! It was in a crock pot and melted in our mouths. We dipped Fritos, Tortillas, and Veggies all night long. I begged our friend for the recipe, and she said if her team won the game, she would share her secret. The dip was gone long before the game was finished, and at the end she said it was a secret - "Don't Tell - It's Velvetta and Rotel".

Ro-Tel Dip...it's a tradition!
I was born in the 70's and grew up in the Pacific NW, but my mom grew up in Arkansas. Need I say more! Those Southern ladies know what they're doin'!!! We used to have a hard time finding Ro-Tel in our stores here, but not any more. I think retailers have FINALLY wised up. It's tradition now to have Ro-Tel Dip Christmas Day. That cheesy, Ro-Telly goodness is the gift that keeps on giving. There's really no limit to what you can dip in it. Anything goes!!! And now, ever since being introduced to Ro-Tel, as a wife, mom, and home mananger it's a staple in the pantry. You just never know when you might need to throw some into a pot of chili or soup, a casserole, or a salad.
That's my story...and I'm stickin' to dip.

A Ro*tel Kiss
First kiss and first dip of Ro*tel made a lasting impression..his face lit up- either from my kiss or Ro*tel, but in either case we were married a year later. I thought he was sweet with the long lingering kiss back, but I think he was trying to get at the dip!You be the judge!

Super Bowl Game Party
My first time was at last year's Super Bowl part at my mom's house. My brother prepared a pork sausage warm dip with a can of Rotel, cheese sauce, and ground pork sausage. We dipped in it with nacho chips. Yum!!!

Frist Time And Blew My Mind
I look back at my first time in the late 70's it was at a very special place with a very special someone. We were at a party in a friends basement and when I first got my hands on it I lost it. That night was a very special night for me because after that RO*TEL was the only real dip there was for me. I love it any time of the year football gatherings, parties, and holiday time or just when I like to be alone and enjoy it by myself. There are no one way to make it you can add anything you can think of and it will turn out the best dip there is.

2 First Times
As an adult I looked at a can of Rotel in the grocery. It sounded familiar, but I couldn't place it. I read the recipe for the velveeta dip & bought both and took it home. After making it, I realized that my mother used to make it. I could see the cool yellow pot she used on the stove & it tasted just like hers. My mother died when I was a teenager & I loved having that memory and taste back. Thank you Rotel for making me smile with a happy memory. I now fix Rotel often. We even had it this week! Yum.

Chase The Dream
I had to travel to 4 towns to find Ro-tel, The minute we got home the top came off the Rotella and the Velveta was sliced . My wife and I fired up the stove ,combined the ingrediants and proceeded to spice up our evening

best chili ever
Usually our chili goes:
1: cook beef
2: drain beef
3: add chili beans
4: add tomato paste & chili powder

BUT, 2 weeks ago we ran out of tomato paste & we had several cans of Rotel... Best Chili I've ever made and I'll never go back to my old boring chili... Thanks for a great product.

Christmas Caroling in the 70s & Ro-Tel Dip
Being a teen-ager in the 70s and living in a small Texas town, our church youth groups were fantastic! Christmas time, we'd go caroling. Our parents stayed at the church and prepared hot chocolate and appetizers for our return. To this day, I remember all the moms being excited about a new Ro-Tel dip, all of course with their own versions. So, they compromised and made my favorite Ro-Tel dip. It always brings back those great 70s memories when I have it! Ro-Tel,Velveta, browned & drained sausage, frozen chopped broccoli all put in a crock pot until cheese is melted. Some use hamburger instead, but either way,it's a hit! Thanks to all our great moms & Ro-Tel for fond memories to pass on to my kids!

My Dad's famous dip and only recipe
When we were kids back in the 70's, my dad started making the Ro*tel/Velveeta dip. It was awesome, addicting, and you wanted to drink it with a straw. It was also the only thing he ever "cooked." I even bought him a case of Ro*tel one Christmas because it was so hard to find in our area. Although my dad is no longer with us, the tradition continues and we have fritos and "the dip" at every get together, even Thanksgiving and Christmas. You know the great grandkids are part of the bunch because they start eatting the dip as soon as they can walk and can get their little fingers in the bowl!

No More Chi Chi's
For The past 15yrs We have used nothing but Chi Chi's Medium Salsa and Cheese you heat it up and serve be fore it gets cold.

Three weeks ago I was at A Virgina Tech Football Game against Boston Colledge and decided to mix it up, we purchased Ro-Tel and Velveta cheese and added banana peppers, I will never Use Chi Chi's Salsa again. The Ro-Tel is exceptional on Pretzels.

Hot Dip!
When my husband, Bob, and I were just out of college, we moved to West Virginia. One of our friends invited us to a party and served something called "hot dip", which we loved. We asked for the recipe, which turned out to be your basic "chile con queso" recipe. We learned that back then, Rotel was not available in WV. Thus began years of packing the corners and shoes in our suitcases with Rotel before returning home from business trips to Texas.
Eventually we moved to Texas and, of course, couldn't live without Rotel in pretty much everything we make- especially queso and chili.
Can't wait to try the Queso Cookies from Lisa Fair!!

NEIGHBORS
We had just moved from Illinois to Texas into a small house and one of the new neighbors invited us over for supper. She served the Ro'Tel dip with chips. OH MY GOODNESS, we loved it. I finally asked her what it had in it and for the recipe. I had never purchased Ro'Tel before and was excited to try my own dip. Our family still loves it, especially at Holiday time, this dip is great!

I've been eating RO*TEL forever
I honestly don't even know the first time I had RO*TEL! I was born in Dallas in the 70's & everyone in my family eats it. I remember being a young child & always seeing RO*TEL at home & family gatherings & fighting my cousins for chips that had been drenched in it. I have my own family now & I'm still eating & serving RO*TEL!

The first time I had Queso was at a restaurant during football season. It was a free snack along with chips, while you watched the game. Actually,I didn't realize it was free until I saw some of my friends getting it and enjoying it. They told me to go get some and try it, man! I did and Oh Boy -- It is my favorite snack at football gatherings, family get togethers, office parties, you name it? Only now when I find I like it, I ask for the recipe. How about with ground sausage, velveeta cheese, and of course Rotel Tomatoes with green chilis? How about with guacamole and sour cream? How about just out the can with some heated chips? Always looking for new ways to enjoy Rotel.

Ro*Tel Queso Dip--not only for chips
It started a few years ago when we (the head of the household) and I decided to have some friends over for a Saturday 'football party' we cleaned the garage out bought the couch out which we were going to replace anyway, along with some chairs and the folding table for snacks. We had hamburgers & bratwurst, I started grilling before people got there so I could enjoy the game and company. My better half was in the kitchen preparing the queso dip along with other snacks. we both got done with our jobs about the same time, putting our nourishing food on the table.we decided to try a burger&chips before the friends gathered. I decided to try the cheesez queso dip on the burger--so here we are on the couch in front of the T.V. our very first time--somethings you NEVER forget!

ro*tel tailgate sauce
While tailgating across from Ohio stadium, we were as usual munching on chips & Ro*tel queso dip, while waiting for the burgers and chicken to finish up on the disposable grill. We were anticipating the usual great game between the Buckeyes and Michigan. What a great discovery we made when a friend decided to try the Ro*tel queso dip on his chicken as his condiment of choice. The next thing ya know, it became the sauce on burgers and dogs as well. After that we have to make a batch of Ro*tel Queso just to use as a topper for whatever we are grilling. yummmmmmm!

Best School Party Ever!
My first time trying Rotel was at a school party in junior high. One student brought a large bowl of "Rotel Dip" to the party as she called it. I had never had such an amazing dip. Of all the food items the other students brought I didn't touch any of them I just stuffed myself with chips topped with this amazing stuff. I immediately started begging mom to cook her italian dishes with a can of Rotel and by the time I got married and was cooking a lot on my own I was using Rotel in at least three dishes a week. My husband calls me a Rotel fanatic and I guess I will be for life. I love Rotel!

Love that Ro-tel
I had Ro-tel for the first time at a camp ground. We love it so much that we buy two are three cans of it at a time. We use it almost every day.

First times are memorable! While visiting a friend where I lived in Thorne Bay, Alaska The rare treat of a new dip experience still is a goodie. My Friend, Kay, mixed up a jar of Rotel chilies, a big hunk of Velveeta cheese and put them in a pan to melt. After doing that, she added a big handful of smoked salmon, that we had just smoked, and stired it gently in and First times are memorable! While living in Thorne Bay, Alaska I was at a friends home (an old single wide trailer) and she mixed up a killer treat right before my eyes. My friend Grabbed a pan and dumped in a jar of Rotel chilies, a big hunk of Velveeta cheese and melted it on the stove. She then grabbed a big handful of fresh crumbled smoked salmon, in dime sized pieces, and added it to the mix she had taken off the stove. We only had saltine crackers on hand. It didn`t matter as I thought I`d just tasted a something really special in a far away place. And it was!

Exporting RO*TEL
This is a little different version of the "first time" story - the first time my sister left TEXAS (sniff sniff) she moved near St. Louis, and there was no RO*TEL available anywhere! She suffered greatly with pangs of homesickness and withdrawals from cheese dip until I began sending her CARE packages of RO*TEL and tortilla chips from home. She's here now, and survived her ordeal - barely - with the help of me, the U.S. Mail, and plenty of RO*TEL availble on my local grocery store shelves!

Even as a kid
My parents often had freinds over for drinks and casual dinners. Naturally I felt it necessary to hang around and sample all the "grown-up" food. My favorite was classic Ro*Tel dip and chips. And it remains my favorite dip. I'll still serve it to my friends and have tried it in a number of ways. My favorite is Ro*Tel dip over grilled boneless skinless chicken breasts. Something about the spiciness of the dip and the carbroiled falvor of chicken that makes the combination unbeatable and fires up the taste buds. Thanks, Ro*Tel, for a lifetime of simple and delicious culinary experiences!

first time away from Texas
I remember when my folks moved away when I was at college. That summer, I visited them in Wisconsin and queso was a regular snack on the weekends. We were devestated when we couldn't find ROTEL it in the stores up there! We had our friends ship it to us! Nothing compares to ROTEL!

RO*TEL and the latest dish
I have always enjoyed dishing with my sister and best friend of 35 years. We have always enjoyed appetizers in the process. My sister pulled out some Velveeta & Ro-Tel on one of our dish sessions and things innediately were spiced up! Now my friend who has since moved away, comes back every few months and this is his main request when we get together! Thanks Ro-Tel for keeping things spicy and keeping me close with good family & friends!

Ro*Tel Queso and an ice cold Coca Cola
Summer visits to my great grandmother's house in Austin, Texas are some of the best memories I have. My brother and I would sit at the kitchen table patiently waiting while she made a huge bowl of Ro*tel queso in her double boiler on the stove. When it was ready, she'd set it on the table with a bowl of king size Fritos and two ice cold Coca Colas in glass bottles that were just taken from a short stay in the freezer. We were all set! Time to deal up the cards for a game of Canasta and eat until the bowl was empty. No doubt, Ro*Tel is pure Texas.
Ryan Campbell
pure deliciousness
The first time I had queso dip was at the Iowa vs Ohio State football game. We were tailgating all day and had people that could not get enough of our RoTel Queso dip, so much so we went through a double recipe. It was a great day even if the Hawkeyes didn't get the job done. But good times were had by all with the ultimate tailgate food. Thank you Ro*Tel.

After that, I was never the same
It was a cool fall Saturday in 1982. My father was making the typical college football food to watch our favorite team on television. The brats were boiling in the beer, the dogs were on the grill and the snacks on the table. Next to the chips and salsa was the queso. I had been tentative in the past about trying this queso, but decided right then, on that day I would do it.
I dipped nacho chip in the queso, lifted it to my mouth and was blown away. Queso had me at the first taste explosion and has never let me go. I now make queso at every party and gathering and have become known in my household as the queso king.

"Closet" Ro-Tel Eater
My first Ro-tel dip was at college. I went to a Frat party and there it sat. At the table with the iced down beer and Punch. I went straight for it as I love anything cheesy. The smell wafting up from the Slow cooker was inticing me closer and closer. Wham! The taste exploded in my mouth and I knew I was hooked! I had to have all that luscious dip! I headed straight for the coat closet and ate the whole bowl of dip and chips, using people's coats to wipe my hands and mouth from the feeding frenzy that was Ro-Tel.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh....no one saw me and I continued with the party till dawn.

The Man
A couple of years ago I was invited to a tailgate pary at a local college. The host was the man, he was large and in charge, grilling brats and burgers. He ran the grill and the party. He was THE MAN. Now, I don't want you to get the wrong idea, he was great and he deserved to be top dog, but the MAN was my little brother. I need a grill so that I can return the favor and invite him to my tailgate party. Okay, he will still be THE MAN, but at least I'll get to grill the burgers.

Ro*Tel virgin
My first time with Ro*Tel was when I was in high school in Texas. I was telling a friend about how much I loved the queso at this Mexican restaurant in San Antonio. He promptly told me that he could beat that queso with some Velveeta, some milk, and a can of RED GOLD!!!!!

I know live in New Jersey, but I have a couple stores near me that stock Ro*Tel. So now I can school the Jersey natives about how tasty Ro*Tel really is.

Simmered Chicken
I saw Ro-Tel tomatos and green chilies on the shelf at the local grocery store. I had never heard of this product, and I was curious. On impulse I grabbed a couple cans. I just warmed the Ro-Tel up in a deep fry pan, added the boneless chicken breast, and let it simmer until cooked through. This made a delicious dinner served over rice, and the leftovers were fantastic (if a little messy) wrapped up in a tortilla. Now Ro-Tel is on my shopping list every week. Thank you, Ro-Tel!!

THE PURPLE BOWL
The first time I ever had eatten Ro*Tel Queso dip was at my b-day party on December 29, 2006, and it was amazing the Ro Tel looked good, smelled good, and I wonder for a minute did it taste amazing. There it set in a purple bowl my favorite color. A aunt of mine cooked it for me and I was so excited to eat it. I had been hearing people here and there talking about Ro*Tel dip and how good it was. There the day came when I experienced the most exciting thing my taste buds had ever went through. My mom didn't cook Rol*Tel at all probably didn't even know about it. I wanted Ro*tel so bad I wanted to learn how to cook it but I never got the chance to. So that big day on my Sweet 16 was the offical day I started liking Ro*Tel it's even in my top choices to eat anyday. When I seen that bowl and those nacho chips I my mouth got watery and my eyes got big I love to eat so that was even better lol. To make a long story short I dipped my chip into the Ro*Tel dip I took a huge bite and I thought I was about to pass out of such chessey, moist, tastey beef, and outrageous (cruck!!!). It was oh so good a day I will never forget. It was a brand new tatse to my appetite It stuck with me ever since that day I have been enjoying Ro*Tel Queso Dip It Is Really Goooood I have been getting everyone to try it!!!!!

Cornfield Camping
A small group of six people including myself decided camping sounded like a good pasttime for labor day weekend. Unfortunatly, so did many other people in the area as all the campgrounds were full. My aunt and uncle have a few acres along the lake that they rent out to the local farmers to grow corn. We received permission to camp between the lake and the corn field, which turned out to be a perfect spot for two reasons. First, the tall corn acted as a buffer between the neighbors and our pickup truck blaring country music into the early hours of the morning. Second, broken off corn stalks laying around played the part of microphones for all of us as we sang along with our favorite songs being played on the radio. I acknowledge not being a great singer, so everyone just laughed when my "microphone" was taken away by my buddy Derek. After fishing and swimming during the day, we lounged around the campfire each night. Chips and queso dip paired wonderfully with the barrel of beer we were drinking, making it a weekend that will not be topped any time soon.

Note: this section had no heading so I improvised :)
I'm not a cheese/dairy person. I grew up on the island of Jamaica. We eat seafood w/ scotch bonnet peppers. I love hot & spicy anything. I came across a recipe that called for Ro*Tel & had no idea what "it" was. It took a while for an employee at the grocery store to find it for me. I can't remember how the recipe turned out but what I do know is that whenever a recipe calls for tomatoes I automatically try to figure out how to use Ro*Tel instead. It is one of my pantry staples.

I consider myself an amateur chef always searching for new recipes that my family will ask for a second time & Ro*Tel is my first choice.

No Fish Tale
I purchased a pound of flounder for dinner thinking I had red and green peppers at home to chop and put on top of the flounder - I didn't, so I had a can of Ro-Tel, which I drained slightly, poured on top of the flounder, added some onions, some cheddar cheese, covered, baked and hoped for the best. You could smell how delicious this would be - I got compliments from all 3 family members, it was the perfect spice to add, great flavor, great sauce, very moist; Ro-Tel is also my main ingredient in my meatload, I add it to many dishes, it's low cal and full of flavor - whenever I find it in a food store I buy all the cans; great product. Thank you.

Missing Cheese (for now)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Chili con queso (especially the one at Chili's resturant. BUT unfortunately my baby is intollerant to all dairy products (soy, eggs, fish, and nuts too - but that's another story) and since I am nursing him that means that I am also off of Dairy (including my beloved chili con queso). Well - in the alternatitive foods section of the grocery the do sell an allergen free fake "cheese" that is made mainly out of brown rice. It is truely only a substitute that the desperate use b/c it does not come even close to imitating cheese except for the fact that it melts and is the same color and has a smoth texture. BUT when you add Rotel to it (alot of it) it fills the craving. It's great - I do not feel deprived and get to evjoy the tailgate right along with the rest of the "non-allergen challenged" crew. Thanks Rotel!

rotel in afghanistan
As i was deployed to afghanistan in 2007 i had talked to my wife and explained to her that when i eat dinner with the Afghan Army they dont use any spices. I asked her to send me something that wouldnt get ruined in the mail and so she sent me Rotel so that i could mix it in with the beans the afghan army cooks. me, my crew and the afghans loved the taste of the Rotel. From that day forward all the Afghans wanted to eat was Rotel queso and beans.

My husband of 12 years first introduced me to rotel and cheese. We were having a family get together with his family, before we were married. I tasted it and have been making it ever since! We also love to use it on baked potatoes with stemed broccoli! Yummy! Thank you Rotel!

FIRST ROTEL EXPERIENCE
THE FIRST TIME I HAD ROTEL QUESO WAS WHEN I WAS YOUNG. MY MOTHER USED TO MAKE IT FOR ME AND MY SISTERS. WE LOVED IT. WE ALWAYS HAD A CONTEST TO SEE WHO COULD KEEP EATING THE ROTEL WITHOUT DRINKING ANYTHING. WE ALL WON AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER. JUST ONE OF THOSE FOND CHILDHOOD MEMORIES.

Nurse Ro'tel 's
It was 1987 a Cold December in Chicago. I was to pull my 12 hr. shift at the hospital, and I was dreading what the night could hold. Turned-out it was one of the Dr.s birthday and a few nurses brought in snacks. I never had tired cheese dip and when I asked what it was, they couldn't believe I had been so deprived! As I hesitated in tasting this Warm spicy smelling cheese dip; I was teased and told: Give it a try - you'll Love It! And I did, it was warm and spicy and very yummy on a cold busy night.

As I scooped a larger amount of this fabulous Ro'tel cheese dip into my mouth I was startled by a patient call, and to the delight of my co-workers, my cheese dip missed my mouth and spilled onto my scrub-top! Needless to say I was teased all night... for my Display of enjoying Ro'Tel Cheese Dip on my Scrubs! So this nurse in Chicago So-tells her love of Ro*Tel!!

Rotel Chicken Cassorole
My first taste of Rotel came when my mother changed a recipe for Chicken Cassarole that my grandmother had brought down from Oklahoma. Instead of chopped tomatoes, Mom put Rotel in it. Now we use the Rotel as a topping for the Cassarole. UMMMMM!

double dipping por favor!!
The first time i tried this queso, the "chef" had added some cooked ground beef, placed it in a small fondue pot, and surrounded it with chunks of french bread...It was football season, and everyone was watching the fondue pot instead of the game- it was so good, no one wanted to go away from the bubbling pot!! It has become a staple at our football gatheirngs...

Family and Queso
When we were little my cousins would never try anything new. My uncle made queso using Rotel and I tried it. Wonderful stuff. My uncle would drink his beer and I my soda. As we sat sharing queso we became buddies and formed a bond. Wonderful stuff.

Queso Dad
My dad only knew how to cook Rotel Queso dip well. I remember being so excited to smell the cheese and spices from the Velveeta and Rotel melting together. On cold winter nights my dad would make us the queso dip and we'd have our dip and chips and watch our uncle play football on television. Those were such fun times.

Big Ten v. Big XII
The first time I had Ro*Tel Queso was when I was tailgating with a friend from Texas. I had challenged him to a queso cook-off, it was sort of a Big Ten v. Big XII challenge. As I'm from Ohio, I had never heard of Ro*Tel, so I did not know what I was up against. We were watching the OSU v. Texas game in 2005 while enjoying beverages and Queso. His was kicked-up with Ro*Tel, and mine, well lets just say I had little more then diced tomatoes and some random spices I haphazardly threw together. He tasted mine, and I his. As soon as I realized what I was up against, I told him to stop,I couldn't compete, and was embarrassed for my queso. This was the absolute best queso I had ever experienced, it was a total game changer! This was further confirmed as the night progressed, and his crock pot was empty, while mine remained untouched. Unfortunately, Ohio State lost that game, so my buddy, a die hard Horns fan, not only won the game on the field, but also won the queso battle! Ever since then, I've changed up my playbook and every time I make queso, Ro*Tel is a must. I have gotten so many requests for the recipe, I feel like a queso-master. I always start-off by telling them that the secret ingredient is Ro-Tel, and there is nothing else like it.

Love at first bite
When I think of my first experience I must admit I was prepared to hate it. I had been dating my boyfriend for a couple months and thought it was love at first sight. Every friday night we would get together. I would make him Nachos and we would snuggle in to watch movies. One night as I was preparing the fixings for the Nachos he pulled out a can of RO*TEL and Casually says, Here try this."

WHAT??? was my Nachos not good enough for him?? I couldnt belive it I have made them the same way for years and now he is suggesting I make them different. Well I knew I certainly didnt want them on mine. I made the nachos with one half my way and the others I added the RO*TEL to. When they were done I put them on our plates and carried them to the sofa. As we snuggled into see the movie I grabbed a chip, not realizind I had one of his I plopped it in my mouth and started chewing. Oh that chip was good, very good. The taste of the Chili and spices gave them a zip that my Nachos never had. Ohhhh this was love at first bite. That boyfriend is a thing of the past, but my Fiance' certainly relaxing with a plate of cowboy Nachos,Complete with the delicious taste of RO*TEL.

Queso Anyone?
I was in High School when a friend of mine invited me over for some Queso and nachos. I knew what Nachos were but had no idea about what Ro-tel was at all. I asked a few people who snickered at me for being so sheltered (for lack of a better word). I was raised on baked chicken, some fish and veggies and salads so I had NO IDEA what ro-tel or queso was.

Well to make it more interesting when I arrived at my best friend Judi's home she literally blind-folded me. Had me sit on her bed and popped some into my mouth on a Nacho chip. I was floored b/c she got the ULTRA HOT one! Her and our friends were laughing. I was thinking what a sheltered life I've led. I then started to put it on everything! And I do mean Everything! From my eggs, to hamburgers, to my veggie burgers to chips, Even on Fish! I don't think there's a thing that I haven't put Ro-tel on! I've even put it on Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Dipped pretzels in it! That one day at my best friend Judi's surely changed my life. And I can honestly say it was for the better b/c Life hasn't been the same ever since! I'm now a Ro-tel GAL! (I even keep a can and canopener w/ me at work,in the car, in my lunchbag, and stocked high on the shelfs in my panty). My kids even know..you don't mess w/ mom's ro-tel! Thanks again for producing such a FANTASTIC product.

Ro*Tel it to everyone!!!
My first time with Ro*Tel and velveeta cheese dip was on a cold, icy January day in Texas watching the Dallas Cowboy's at the Super Bowl (it was the ice bowl that year) but we were warmed by the spicy, cheesy, chunks of tomato and green chiles mixed with the crunchy corn tortilla chips...makes my mouth water just talking about it.

Great Gator Dip
Love the dip, Love the Gators....combine the two and you get the best Saturdays ever. Not kidding here...Don't think Tebow would like it but my first dip into Ro-Tel queso was deep fried gator bits while watching my champion team from my living room sofa. Queso is not just for chips yawall.

A vegan's dream
Many years ago, I had given up dairy foods because of an allergy. As a vegan (vegetarian who doesn't eat dairy or eggs) I missed nachos a lot. One day, my church was having a potluck, and I knew there would be cheese nacho sauce there, so I decided to make my own vegan cheese sauce. It was... well, it was okay, but it wasn't what I really wanted. Then I remembered that some people make nacho sauce by mixing Velveeta and RO*TEL, so I ran out to the store, bought some RO*TEL, and mixed some into my vegan cheese sauce. Success! Now that's the way I make my nacho sauce every time.

Flava-x-plosion
The first time we tasted this Ro-Cheese combo was when we mixed it up in our kitchen! We're not much for trying new things but this looked so good and we're huge Ro*Tel fans so we gave it a go...WOW what a hit. We love chips and dips and this dip is our new favorite. We find excuses to have a party so we can make this heavenly dip!!! We love Ro*Tel...add the cheese and it's OVER THE TOP GREAT!!!

The Big Ten Network and RO*TEL
I had never heard of ROTEL until my cable system started getting the BigTen Network. From there, the commercials with the catchy tune aired so often during the games I watched, I just had to try it. And I am so glad I did!!!!

Kind of Homemade Chili
I had to take some homemade chili to a function and I waited too late to get the recipe. I took two big cans of chili and two can of Rotel and made some to die for chili that everyone thought was homemade. I got so many compliments. Thanks Rotel.. you are a lifesaver!

Queso First
I'm from Minnesota, but spent one summer in Texas doing volunteer work when I was in college. Met a nice guy named Dan who was a real Texan. One night he got some Texas BBQ for us and started the meal off with a bowl of spicey, yellow-orange dip. I had no idea what it was and he had to explain it to me. I learned a couple things that evening, but I can honestly say that was my first and last experience with queso.

first time queso
We had queso ever since I can remember, as a little boy my gramma would dip chips and sometimes hunks of bread in it and feed us. Sometimes me and my brothers would fight over the last bites. I could sure use that grill.

Queso First
I had a roommate who was a southerner and any time she entertained she made the dipping sauce with cheese and canned spiced tomatoes. The first time I ate it, I didn't know what it was. Being French, I didn't think cheese came in a box, but I grew to love it despite my French sensibilities. there are some American foods that can win you over like that. And after all, we French serve a hot, melted brie en croute!
